Luís Gonzaga Mendes Magalhães has a BSc and MSc in Informatics from the University of Minho and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at University of Minho. He is also a Senior Researcher at ALGORITMI Centre. Since 2016 he is the Scientific Coordinator of the Computer Vision, Interaction and Graphics R&I department at Computer Graphics Centre. Since 2020 he is also a member of the board of directors of the Computer Graphics Centre. He is author or co-author of more than 130 scientific publications on international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include the use of Computer Vision, Augmented Reality and Computer Graphics. He is, or was, the Scientific Coordinator or a research member in projects related to Automatic Optical Inspection, Expeditious Modeling of Virtual Environments, Immersive 3D Environments, and Mixed Reality systems.
